Bridgton Dental

About Us

Dr. Cloutier has been practicing dentistry in since 2005. He purchased the practice of Dr. Stephen Hatch in Bridgton in 2013 and has changed the name to Bridgton Dental Associates. Since then, Dr. Cloutier has made numerous upgrades to the facility such as more private and comfortable treatment rooms, new dental delivery equipment, and modern diagnostic instruments. Perhaps more importantly, he has changed the way that patients are cared for. He believes that listening to the patient and developing a treatment plan that truly works for the patient is really what it’s all about. Recently, Dr. Samantha LeDuc has joined the practice. With this addition, Bridgton Dental Associates can now offer more opportunities for patients to receive all of their dental care right here in Bridgton.

Dr. Cloutier

Owner

Some of Dr. Cloutier’s earliest life experiences convinced him that he should pay attention in school. He attended schools in Guilford, Maine where he earned good grades, was active in sports and was known to be a teacher’s favorite.
Dr. Cloutier graduated from Boston College in 1990 with a BS in economics. After graduating, he learned that an individual really needs a PHD in economics to earn a good job in that field. Unqualified for most careers, he secured a job where qualifications aren’t very important—politics. He moved to Washington DC and worked for Senator George Mitchell. Although Dr. Cloutier enjoyed politics and his time in Washington, he ruled it out as a career. He knew that he wanted to return to Maine and work with his hands. It was shortly after that he enrolled in Dental school.
Dr. Cloutier earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland in 2003. Shortly thereafter he and his family packed the car and moved back to Maine.
In 2005, Dr. Cloutier bought his first dental practice. The building had been Deering Ice Cream for many years prior. Incidentally, all that ice cream turned out to be good for the dental business.
Dr. Cloutier likes to focus his time on restoring and maintaining optimal dental function. This means different things for different patients. He devotes most of his professional life trying to figure out what an individual patient believes to be his or her optimal function, honoring it, and earning their trust. Although Dr. Cloutier cannot promise perfect outcomes, he does guarantee that he is constantly striving for perfection.
Dr. Cloutier loves what he has built at Main Street Dental because he has surrounded himself with a remarkable group of employees. He receives tremendous satisfaction knowing that “my employees and I are helping people achieve their optimal dental health.”
Dr. Cloutier resides in Cumberland, Maine. When Dr. Cloutier’s is not working or spending time with his family he can be found golfing, dabbling in woodworking, or spending sometime in the remote areas of northern Maine where he enjoys fly fishing, canoeing and the absence of cell phone coverage.

Dr. Leduc

Associate Dentist

Dr. Samantha LeDuc was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, where she spent her childhood hiking in the Green Mountains and swimming in Lake Champlain. While the rest of her family headed to the slopes on weekends, Dr. LeDuc could be found at the horse farm, nurturing a lifelong passion for horseback riding. A dedicated equestrian, she competed throughout New England during her youth.
Her first introduction to dentistry came in an unexpected way—through the owner of the horse farm, who was also a practicing dentist. She offered Dr. LeDuc a position as a dental assistant, a role she held for ten years and one that inspired her path into dentistry.

Dr. LeDuc earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Vermont. She then moved to Maine to attend the University of New England, College of Dental Medicine. While there, she discovered a true passion for working closely with patients, tailoring care to their unique needs and helping them make informed decisions about their oral health.
Her philosophy is simple but impactful: dentistry should be a collaborative process. Dr. LeDuc is committed to making her patients feel educated, empowered, and—most importantly—comfortable throughout their dental care journey.
Outside of the office, Dr. LeDuc enjoys gardening, baking, and spending quality time with her two sons, who keep her on her toes with sports and other activities. Now settled in Maine, she’s thrilled to be part of the community and looks forward to helping you achieve your oral health goals.
